Summer 2015 – Part II – July/August 2015 – The Year In Review

It is with MASSIVE excitement and immense pride that we officially announce that on Monday 15th February 2016, The Leylines will travel to Brighton for seven days.

“Why’s that?” you may ask. We’ll tell you why! We have managed to secure Metway Studios, home of The Levellers (who also happen to be our favourite band). “What for?” Well, we’re going there to record our debut full-length album to be released in April.

To say that Metway is our Mecca is an understatement and we cannot wait. Not only that, but we have enlisted the amazing talent of none other than the AWESOME Sean Lakeman to produce our album. Sean’s production credits include: The Levellers (of course), Frank Turner, Billy Bragg, Seth Lakeman, Bellowhead, Imelda May and our good friends, Mad Dog Mcrea.

There’s more (no, really)! We have the studio, we’ve got the award-winning producer. Now we need a master of the faders, a Pro Tools virtuoso, a wizard of engineering…you get the idea! Enter Mr Jake Rousham. His credits include The Levellers (of course, again!), Roger Daltrey, Nick Cave, Sinead O’Connor, The Strypes, Snow Patrol and many more.

Finally (and this one’s another biggie!), the icing, cherry and sugar on the cake. We’re in negotiation with the one and only Al Scott to both mix and master this album. Al needs no other introduction other than he is a multi-number-one-album selling producer whose credits include The Levellers’ Levelling The Land. Does it get any better than this? Not for us!

We need your help. We need your support to make this happen. Go to to find out how you can be part of this album, and to join us on the most exciting journey we’ve ever taken.

See you on the other side.
