As you may or may not have been aware, we have been on the look out for a new drummer for a couple of months, and finally, after a great deal of searching, we’ve found just the man for the job!
It gives us great pleasure to introduce DAVE BURBIDGE as The Leylines’ new drummer and fellow noise-maker. Here’s a little bit about him, in his own words:-
“I’ve had a passion for rhythm for as long as I can remember & having bought my first drum kit at age 12 have never looked back.
I’ve played in several bands over the years, some taking me as far as Pucklechurch Village Hall & Scarborough Fair, others to Dubai & Boston USA via SXSW in Austin Texas. I’ve had the pleasure of playing many different genres & styles of music but was introduced to the vibrant Folk Scene by Jim Moray with whom I’ve toured with over the last 5yrs.
I was lucky enough to play a few festivals in the Summer with Eliza Carthy which consequently led me to being introduced to the fabulous Leylines. I’m thrilled to be invited to join them & look forward to whatever the future brings”
Dave Burbidge. X”
We are over the moon that Dave has decided to join us and needless to say, the feeling is mutual. We have so many amazing things lined up for 2015 and cannot wait to get the ball rolling.
Starting at the pub, of course!
